The following night at SurvivorFest, Kimmi donated
some autographed memorabilia for the charity auction. After I had won her lot, she looked me up to pose for a photo
and give me her email address so we could stay in touch.
In addition to the autographed items...a photo of
her eating the worm on Survivor Outback and the Edge Magazine with her cover story... Kimmi offered to throw in the pink tee
shirt she was wearing. After some spirited bidding, I again won her lot. Even before I had paid for it, she came
down from the stage, found me in the crowd and asked if I'd like to pose with her as she wore the pink shirt.
After Kimmi handed me the pink tee shirt, she again asked if I wanted a photo
made with her. So with my cheek ever so close to her pretty black bra, my friend snapped another picture!
Her boyfriend insisted on buying me a drink, so while Kimmi left to put on a spare shirt, we waited at the bar. When
she reappeared to join us, we chatted until she had to leave to board her transportation back to the headquarters hotel.
Kimmi and I next met at the Amazon Finale in New York
City in May 2003. When I left the live telecast and was pondering how I might get into the after-party without a pass,
Kimmi said I should just come to its location and someone would get me in. We walked to the Tao Club together and as
we arrived, another castaway friend immediately found a pass for me. The party was fantastic!
